One of my essential features from TickTick (also present in a plug-in for Obsidian) is the ability to “snooze” a due task, especially from the notification.
For example, say your receive a notification for a task that’s due at 3pm (whether it’s your advance notice, or due now). You would have the option to snooze it. If I picked 30 minutes, the time due would be changed to 30 minutes from when I chose to snooze it (not have from the original time due).
This gives me great flexibility to both keep track of my tasks, stay on top of them, but also a very easy and simple way to be flexible around my schedule.
Below is an image of the plug-in in Obsidian showing this.
As far as I can tell, this doesn’t seem to exist at the moment. I would love to see it.
Where would you want to see this? In the notification/the reminder
mail?
If you are in the list view, you can already click on the due date to
postpone it.
I personally love it in the notification. I find notifications as helpful to-dos, but it always runs the risk of accidentally swiping and it disappearing, and promptly leaving my mind (until perhaps I check the full list later). Probably related to ADHD, but the convenience of being able to say “remind me in 30 minutes” or “remind me tomorrow” can be invaluable for my own use case.
I don’t think many apps have that, so I might be an outlier here.
I feel that it would be better to be able to snooze from the Upcoming tab, where the due date/time is shown in text. The Upcoming page is, I assume, designed to be a To-do list to show priority based on time.
It could be changed to a drop down to allow snooze or change date from that view. She same could be used where there is a similar text, eg. where there is a list view within a project.
You can already change the due date from the list view (that includes upcoming) when you click on the date.
