Would be nice to quickly edit task names in the lost view without going into the edit panel. It would make a workflow much more efficient.
How should the user switch to an “edit” mode?
We had a “quick edit” panel which popped out when clicking on an edit icon in the task list but that’s been gone for a while now.
There could be an additional view called “edit” or “live”, and in that view, you can edit your list just by clicking on an item (see screenshot below). I think several apps offer some sort of in-line or in-place editing (e.g. ticktick.com, google keep, etc.)
I update the priority of tasks on daily basis. it would be much more efficient for me if I can edit the priority of tasks without having to enter the detail page. btw, I use table view as list view does not support sorting by priority
Can you reproduce this on try?
I don’t see an option to change how the tasks are sorted? the only way I see to reorder the tasks is drag&drop
That’s correct, you cannot sort tasks in list view. I thought you were talking about how the sort by priority does not work in the table view?
I need to sort tasks by priority so I have to use table view.
Here is my use case:
- I need to group tasks by “when to do”. Now I achieve it by priority:
- Do Now: today
- Urgent: tomorrow
- High: the day after tmr
- Medium: in the next week
- I have many projects each containing tasks for different purpose, like housekeeping, company work, etc. I need to see all tasks on the same page and sort them by “when to do”. Now I achieve it with a saved filter.
I imaging a kanban in saved filter would help me manage my workflow more efficiently. I see on the demo site that the saved filter already supports kanban. But in the version 0.23.0(what I use now) it doesn’t. Is there an ETA of the next version?
Yeah, views were changed to make them a lot more flexible. I hope to release the next stable version in may, as there are quite a few bugs left to fix before it’s stable enough to ship.
You can already switch to an unstable build if you want to use the feature already.
