Leaving the community (semi)permanently

Hey fello llama taskers,

I have been an active member here for about 9 months now, and wanted to give everyone a heads up!

I am stepping away from the homelab. My personal life has gotten so hectic, I haven’t been able to maintain the lab since the start of the year. I posted a while back about my OIDC not working and have never gotten back to it. My Vik is only accessible via API at this point, or rebuilding an account and migrating back to local login. This is not anyone’s fault but my own, however, that is where I am.

I hope to have the mental bandwidth again soon to be able to get enjoyment, and a sense of adventure out of my homelab again, but I have no idea where life is headed right now.

Shoutouts

I wanted to make sure to give a special shout to a few of the members here that have been instrumental in helping me, hopefully a noob homelabber (like I was) will land on this someday and have the Rosetta stone of early break/fixing. @Wasabi, you have been one of the most helpful members here. From Help with bulk API complete, to Migration from Vikunja export duplicated boards [Local to OIDC], you have come in clutch so many times. @kolaente DUDE. Thank you. So. SO much for one of the best task management systems I could dream of using.

Well, thats it…

all that’s left to say now is…

So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish

Hope you’ll get back to the lab one day, but don’t feel pressured.

Happy to have been hosting you, it’s been a pleasure!
