Just wanted to drop by and say thanks. Setting this up kicked my ass throughout the week because I am an instrument technician and do homelab stuff for fun.

I successfully have Vikunja running in Docker, along with a PostGres db, Typesense integration, Todoist migration, Unsplash backgrounds, custom logo, functioning mailer, and whatever other little service and defaultsettings I felt like adding.

I am connecting through Cloudflare, and had to add a Transform Response Header to get Cors working correctly.

I won’t lie and deny the fact that ChatGPT helped me A LOT, although we argued quite a bit based on it’s non-up-to-date training.

If anyone is getting their butts kicked, drop a message and I can help any way I can. If I can set this up, you can too :smiley:

I’m connected through Tailscale, which means I can run Vikunja at home server’s Docker and don’t really care about any cloud related pain.
Vikunja is hooked up to my phone and PC wherever I am for free.
I can help with such kind of setup if needed.

Same setup, highly recommended. I have a wireguard and tailscale vpn on my firewall so I can expose my home servers without making them public and acts as I am home no matter where I am.
