Keyboard shortcut next/previous tasks in a project

Hello,

It would be nice to have the ability to return to the previous task and call the next one in a given project using only a keyboard shortcut.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Can you explain your use case for this?

What would be a “next” or “previous” task? In which context?

E.g. We are having 10 open tasks in current project, starting from #1 to #10. I am opening #7, and I would like to be able to move to task #6 or #8 with a keyboard shortcut to maximize efficiency

So previous / next is always the corresponding number? Even if the tasks are ordered differently?

Oh, I have not think about it, maybe there could an additional setting regarding this behavior…

This is a great idea. Whilst looking at the task screen, I want to flick between the tasks as fast as I can press a single keystroke (like p/n or j/k which would be traditional previous/next)

Another key idea: if I’m looking at the ‘List’ of some items, I want to be able to highlight items using the keyboard. So ‘j/k’ should go up/down the list. Enter should take me to the highlighted task. If I go ‘back’ from a task to the list, the item I was looking at should be highlighted so I can continue to navigate from that point. ‘esc’ would be another good key (to go back from a task to the project), to make mouseless navigation between tasks seamless.

If the ‘add a task’ text input is selected and empty, the down arrow should put the focus onto the task list.
