Task comments show edited when they have not been

Hi,

Since 1.0.0-rc1 I have seen an intermittent issue where task comments are showing as edited when they have not actually been edited. This didn’t occur in 0.24.6.

It’s not always reproducible but sometimes after adding a task comment and staying on the page, a few seconds later the green “Saved!” text is visible for a moment and the comment shows as edited with the same timestamp as the original add. Nothing was clicked, just staying on the page and maybe scrolling up/down the page.

Here is a current example on the demo site; none of these comments were actually edited though 5 of 15 show edited - Vikunja

I’ve also seen some tasks with old comments posted say 4 months ago show a fresh edit time of today even though they were not edited. Those tasks were visited and had new comments posted though.

Browser is Firefox on Linux and iOS.

Sorry I don’t have a better reproduce case but if I notice any other details I’ll update here.

You mean it edits the comment that you just created?

Yes.

But also old comments at random are changing to ‘edited’ by only viewing the task. I just opened a random task on my 1.0.0-rc2 instance which has 18 comments. While scrolling down the page of comments I saw “edited a few seconds ago” appear on this comment that was not there a moment before:

I did not edit this comment now or in the past.
