A feature to “Scroll to Bottom” of the comments section in a Task would be appreciated, as lengthy discussions can make it difficult to access the most recent updates.
Filters would further improve this functionality too, like Newest, Oldest, Pinned.

Comments approach should be completely copied from Jira IMHO.
I think it has been discussed previously to reverse the comment order so that the newest comments show up at the top. You’d still need to scroll to the bottom to add a new comment so I’m unsure if that actually solves all problems.

Ah, now that I think about it more. Comments are pretty good now.
I was thinking more about how you can easily replace the Comments section with “Activity” history and also show Everything - Activity + Comments in one history.
But that’s off top, pardon me.
Reverse the comment order
This should be controlled with a sorting button ideally, reverse sorting order by date might not feel natural for a lot of folks.
Filters
I think this is very low priority.
AFAIK Jira does not have filters in comments and thus it kind of forces user to abandon chatting about the task in the comments and just go and create a messanger thread about the issue and link it in the comment. And I think it’s a healthy way to do this.
Especially now that you have different messangers that support thread-based meaningful conversations.
Trying to achive something similar to thread-based messanger like experience in task management tool sounds like a waste of time to me given that you better spend this time creating integrations for various msg. systems.
