Show description in list or Kanban view

Hello. I’d like to view the first words of the task description in the list or Kanban view, so I know in what stage it is…could probably assign a color label to it, but then would have to memorize what color means what…one more thing to remember…
Couldn’t find a way to customize those…
Thanks

What about a bunch of labels that are called “status: your status”?

You can customise the label colourat the labels page, in the main menu under “labels”. There, if you click on a label, it will open a sidebar thing where you can edit all the details.

I will look into that, thanks!

Labels may help in some cases, but in others, showing a truncated description would still be useful.

E.g. suppose I have a task “Inform customer A about X”. Maybe that customer is a bit hard to reach, so I’ll be looking at this task quite a bunch of times, before actually completing it. It would be quite helpful to have their contact details easily visible, or possibly a short note on when I last attempted to call. That may be too much for the task title, and certainly isn’t suitable for a label, but could fit neatly into the first lines of the task description.

Of course at other times, having a very compact view of tasks will be preferable, so this should be configurable (per view).

I think custom fields implementation will sort out this use case.
User will be able to use Table view where one/more custom fields are displayed as table columns.
