At first:
This is what I searched for! This piece of software looks so nice and nonetheless it works great! It’s not always that way, most of the time you need to decide to one side.
And I can install it in many ways also without docker! I would say these days this is a feature too!
This is possible more a feature than a help request, unless the function is already implemented, and I’m blind on both eyes.
I do want to have the possibility to create groups so I can create in their different projects. Because my projects belong to my customers and does not only involve my own, but if it would be like that, I want to group also my own tasks.
In the following reference pictures, you see I have ordered my tasks in several sections. Instead of having everything in one or different freely projects, I made parent tasks to have them in those sections.
But it’s a bit hacky because the parent entry is also a task section or has a task section. A dedicated folder function would be nice.
So the overview in Projects would be also a lot clearer.
How would the overview in Projects (I assume you’re talking about the page reachable from the menu) be cleaner if there were folders?
We had a concept called “Namespaces” in the past, which would contain a number of projects. It was not possible to nest them and was somewhat “wired” and not many people understood what it was ultimately for, so we ditched it in favour of nestable projects.
I thought you may be going to ask, but sadly I could not attach a second picture to my post because I’m new in this forum. Nonetheless, you got it right! I meant that menu point/button. I attached my (2nd) reference picture in this post here.
Namespaces with multiple projects in it, sounds like that what I had in mind. Maybe Namespaces 2.0 will solve the issue?
I do know it’s easier said than done. I’m happy to help and contribute, sadly my HTML and CSS are a little rusty and I don’t even want to start talking about GO. Python is more my home, but maybe I can help in another way.
