Hello!
I’m new to Vikunja, and because I didn’t feel ready to self-host yet, I’m using Vikunja Cloud.
Because Repeating Tasks only update the start and end dates, I realized that I needed a filter of startDate < now in order to make my List view usable. However, every time I switch between projects, that filter goes away. So I realized I needed to edit the view itself.
However, when I attempt to edit the List view, I get this error:
So I figured that instead of editing that view, maybe I need to create my own. So I tried to create my own list view with my desired filter, but I get an error:
So am I doing things wrong? If I’m not making a mistake, are these bugs with Vikunja or Vikunja Cloud specifically? I’m using the flathub install of Vikunja frontend if that matters.
Thanks for the help! Also please let me know if my idea of startDate < now as a filter is a common need in Vikunja or if there is a better way to go about hiding future tasks.

Do you see the same issues in the web?
Since you’re using the desktop app, does it work with one of the unstable builds?
The bug is indeed gone in the web version! This implies an issue with the flathub install of Vikunja. I just tried the unstable build (.deb as I’m on Linux Mint Cinnamon), and it works there too! So yep, it’s the flathub build. Thanks for the help! I prefer desktop apps, so I’m glad the unstable one works.
Also, it would be nice if the “Include Tasks that also don’t have a value set” could be on the view settings as well, as a feature request!
