Auto set start and end dates

Would be nice if the start date was automatically set when the task was moved from the backlog bucket and the end date was automatically set when the task is moved to a bucket marked as the done bucket. Is this something that could be added in the future?

Would be set to the current date and time for each instance. I forget to set my start and end dates, so this would just set them for me.

We might add this once the “backlog” bucket gets a special marker.

for begginng maybe just set end date when task is close will be great, isn’t it?

Could this also be relevant for setting/changing start and end dates automatically for tasks with dependencies whenever dependencies are created or changed?

Forgive me if this has already been addressed elsewhere, but is there any way to create dependencies between tasks? I see that you can add relationships between tasks, but it seems to stop at describing the tasks. What I’m hoping to do is: display tasks on my gantt view so it’s clear what tasks need to be done first so it’s clear that if a task is delayed, what other tasks will be delayed as a result
