Feature request: set due date from Gantt chart

The Gantt chart provides a quick and easy way to organize a project flow.
But moving the tasks only sets their start and end date - not the due date.
Without due date they won’t show up in “upcoming”.

So it would be nice if

  • arranging a task on the Gantt chart would set both end date and due date, or
  • a due date mark would appear that can be moved independently.

Opening each task and manually setting the due date is a bit cumbersome, even with keyboard shortcuts, and especially for newcomers everything that can be achieved with a mouse is more intuitive.

As a workaround, you could create a filter which includes tasks based on their start and end date.

Yes. But they would still not show in “upcoming” - unless there was an option to use a saved filter for “upcoming”, similar to the option " Saved filter used on the overview page" in “General Settings”.

But this would be yet another feature request… :wink:

And I do not want to leave the impression of being dissatisfied. You have created a great tool!
