Are there approaches to reduce the button when editing a task?

I use Vikunja a lot on my smartphone and the edit mode of a task has IMO too many buttons. So far I never needed them.

For example:

  • Is there a way to hide the rich text editor toolbar?
  • Is there a way to hide comment section?
  • Is there a way to hide some buttons for subscribing, setting priority etc?

I’m really curious about this one. I heard strong recommendations vikunja and I’m very interested, but I’m shocked how busy the task page is.

It seems really capable, but I’d love a way to hide & disable most of those things… exactly the things you highlighted.

I can do this for 1 machine with Stylus, but I’d really want this for all users on all devices (including mobile).

I’m happy to take pointers here, but it’s not an easy thing to balance. We have this on our radar, but no concrete plans for implementation yet.
