Hi, just installed the program for the first time, looks wonderful so far. Everything I need from a todo list and more.
There’s an option right on my empty overview page to import files from other services, the only one of which happens to be Ticktick. I assume this wants the backup CSV you can generate but something seems off with it as I’ve tried a few times with new CSVs and they seem to repeatedly import a random handful of tasks from many months ago as due today while my 5 main lists full of tasks do not show up in any way. The CSV file is fully up-to-date and complete, checking it over in notepad. I’m not sure if I’m missing a step or if this functionality is just bugged at the moment.
I’m on Windows 11 just accessing thru the web app.
I tried to migrate to the unstable but it kept throwing a translation file missing error when I went to run it. Migrated back, things worked for a few days and then my account somehow got deleted. Restore won’t let me restore from my dump because it says the confirmation text is wrong even if I copy paste it from the confirmation message. I might try again in a few weeks but for now I’m SOL I guess.
I can also had I’ve had a similar issue. Have self-hosted instance but importing a .csv backup that was generated by TickTick. No errors are shown at all in Vikunja but only about 20 tasks appear to be imported. My TickTick .csv file has just over 1,400 tasks in it, which include TEXT and NOTE types.
OK interesting on the demo site it did complain about an empty title field (my self-hosted instance did not show that error). In the end, deleting the two rows above the header row sorted that issue out. It had two rows with legend info in. There was also some type of task that seemed to have sub-tasks but had no title on the parent task, so I deleted that one too.
But after importing, it said completed. I set a new filter to show all not done. But it only lists about two pages of tasks. If I sort my CSV file I have some tasks set with due dates in the future like 2026, 2029, 2031, and 2032. None of those example are visible nor show up in a search. These would be disastrous if I missed them. Looking at TickTick I see on All there should be 127 open tasks.
Quite a few closed tasks are showing up as open but which were marked as completed with a date of two weeks ago.
