Views currently sort by a single key (due date, priority, …). The moment you pick one, your manual ordering is completely lost and picking “due date” vs. “priority” is a coin flip.
Todoist solves this with a default “smart sort” for its Today/Upcoming views: a fixed chain of due date → priority → your manual position → creation date. Tasks that tie on date and priority can still be drag-reordered, and that order is kept as the tie-breaker. No configuration, just a sensible order out of the box.
Request: a smart sort for the Upcoming view (and a Today view) using due date → priority → manual position, with ascending/descending only flipping the date part. The main work would be the API accepting a composite sort (manual position as a secondary key).
