Hey all,
First off — absolutely loving Vikunja. I’ve been running it self-hosted for a few weeks now as part of a GTD setup and it’s become the backbone of my daily workflow. Huge kudos to kolaente and everyone involved.
Now for my totally first-world problem: when I’m checking off tasks in list view, I’d say about half the time I accidentally open the task detail instead of toggling the checkbox. The click target for the checkbox is quite small, and anything even slightly to the right of it registers as “open task” instead of “mark done.”
This is especially noticeable when quickly working through a checklist (I have Daily Startup and Evening Shutdown routines with 6-8 subtasks each), where the flow is: check, move down, check, move down. An accidental task detail open breaks that rhythm.
Would it be possible to either:
- Make the checkbox hit area a bit wider (maybe include some padding around the box), or
- Add a small “done zone” on the left side of each task row that toggles completion
- on Android: maybe a “swipe for done” feature?
Totally understand if this is low priority — like I said, first world problem. But for checklist-heavy workflows it would be a really nice quality of life improvement.
Thanks for building such a great app!
