Any thoughts about having notes (or call it journal like in VJournal)

Some TODO lists have notes (GitHub - chrisvel/tududi: Self-hosted task management that combines the simplicity of personal with the power of professional project organization. Built for individuals and teams who value privacy, control, and efficiency.) or pages ( GitHub - makeplane/plane: 🔥🔥🔥 Open-source Jira, Linear, Monday, and ClickUp alternative. Plane is a modern project management platform to manage tasks, sprints, docs, and triage. )

rfc5545 (ical) defines a kind of journal (VJOURNAL).

Anything planned like this in vikunja? VJOURNAL can be distributed via Caldav-server as well as VTODO

Would be a nice-to-have! I would work around that with a project or label that’s only used for notes (as the description is powerful enough as-is imo), however I assume that wouldn’t integrate well with CalDAV.

I think for notes (whether that’s its own type or manually categorized) - or even description heavy tasks - it would be cool if kanban/list views had an option to expand the description or show (a part of) it per default

Currently no plans on adding note-taking to Vikunja, since many great projects already exist for that. The workaround provided by @stray-tori sounds like a pretty good replacement!
