Get email notification on new comments

Hi everyone,

I recently installed Vikunja for our users and, looking at the many different features, I noticed that when I make a comment on a task, the subscribers are not notified. Looking at the logs I see:

2025-11-19T10:54:12Z: DEBUG :play_button: 11d Did not find any webhook for the task.comment.created event for project 8, not sending
2025-11-19T10:54:12Z: DEBUG :play_button: 124 Sending task comment notifications to 1 subscribers for task 6

Now, I do not need to send notifications via webhooks, so it’s ok the first line, but then I see “sending task comment” but nothing happens.

The mailer subsystem is correctly configured as I receive notifications on deadlines and overdue tasks, but nothing on new comments, even if Vikunja is apparently sending them.

Am I missing any specific configurations?
