Unable to add checkbox in new WYSIWYG editor

anyone know how to add checkbox in description and comments , earlier in previous release I was able to add using markdown syntax: - ,but now its not supported.

This issue is started after new WYSIWYG editor has been added .

Is there any way I can use old Markdown in this new editor ?

You can use markdown shortcuts in the new editor.

For checkboxes, use [ ] (without -)
