Viku: a focused iOS Client for Vikunja

Hi all! I’m happy to share a project I’ve been working on. Presenting Viku, a native iOS client for Vikunja. It is fast, simple and minimal.

It is not a full port of the webui. It is a more focused client. I know there are other native clients, however this app has a different perspective and target user. It has a different philosophy. I designed this app for myself, so it may include preferences not for everyone so I suggest you take a look and see if it fits your needs. It is aimed more for solo-users doing “Life Project Management” and not much for teams working and collaborating on projects.

The idea is simple: You use Vikunja Web App when on your desktop, and you use Viku when on the go from your phone.

The app is in beta and would love some feedback from real users so I’m posting the TestFlight invite link so you can try it right now.

This is an independent client, not affiliated with the official Vikunja project. Big thanks to the Vikunja team for building a platform that makes projects like this one possible

This is a great app! Will be my daily

Looks very cool, especially with the widgets. I’ll wait till it passes the TestFlight status and will buy it if the price is reasonable. Have you thought about a pricing scheme? Please make it a one time purchase. I understand the attractiveness of the subscription model for a developer but as a user I’m not a fan.

Thank you.

This app will remain free and open source. Not planning to charge for it. Since this app talks directy to the user’s Vikunja instance, there is no need to pay for server costs or anything.
