I appreciate the existing AI functionality in Discourse (platform we’re currently on) that detects similar tasks when creating a new one. It helps prevent duplicates and keeps discussions organized.
I propose extending this AI-driven semantic analysis to general topic pages, similar to the “Related Topics” feature in the Joplin Discourse community (example). This would surface relevant discussions at the bottom of each topic page.
Why This Matters
Improves Discoverability – Helps users find relevant discussions effortlessly.
Reduces Fragmentation – Encourages engagement in existing topics instead of creating duplicates.
Boosts Engagement – Keeps users interacting within the community longer.
Leverages Existing AI – The infrastructure is already in place, making this a natural next step.
